Why I Created ND Kids: A Passion for Change, A Mother’s Mission

I have spent most of my life feeling like I didn’t quite fit in. As a child, I struggled with things that seemed effortless for others—letters didn’t always sit right, my brain worked in ways I couldn’t explain, and I often felt like I was fighting a battle no one else could see.
Back then, being different wasn’t something to explore. It was something to fix. I was never given the space to embrace how my mind worked; instead, I had to work twice as hard to fit into a mould that was never meant for me.
Now, as a mother, everything has changed. My baby is still young, but I’ve already made him a promise: He will never have to fight for love. He will never feel like he has to change who he is just to belong.
Finding My Purpose
For the first time in my life, I know exactly why I’m here. This is my purpose. ND Kids isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement, a mission that is deeply personal.
As I’ve grown, I’ve seen so many people, myself included, finally uncover the truth about who we are—whether it’s sensory processing struggles, ADHD, autism, or learning differences we were never given the words for as children. The world is only now catching up to what many of us have always known: neurodivergent minds are not broken. They are brilliant.
But kids today? They shouldn’t have to wait decades to be understood. They shouldn’t have to push themselves into spaces that were never designed for them. They deserve better.
Why Colouring Books?
Because they are more than just an activity—they are a tool for expression, regulation, and self-discovery.
For an anxious child, colouring can be a way to breathe. For a child with ADHD, it can be a moment of focus. For a non-verbal child, it can be a form of communication.
Every book I create is designed with intention—not just to entertain, but to support neurodivergent kids in a way that feels natural and safe. I want these books to be a space where kids can just be—where they don’t have to change who they are to feel successful.
Pushing the Awareness Further
But I don’t want to stop at books. This is about something bigger.
I want to push awareness as far as I possibly can—because this conversation matters. Because for too long, kids like us were overlooked, misunderstood, and forced to adapt to a world that refused to meet us halfway. That has to change.
My hope is that ND Kids will not only bring joy to neurodivergent children but also start important conversations. That parents, teachers, and caregivers will see these kids for who they truly are, not who the world tells them to be.
This is my mission, my passion, and my purpose. And this is just the beginning. 💚🎨
